Día 14 /14th day: Denali National Park

Como esperábamos, a principios de Junio, no hay demasiado problema para usar el Tek pass y poder moverse con autobuses. Sin embargo, en temporada alta parece que es algo más complicado y las esperas pueden ser largas. El Tek pass permite poder subir y bajarse de cualquier autobus verde en cualquier sitio. Esto da mucha libertad y más posibilidades de fotografiar.

As expected, on the beginning of June, there is not so much problems to use your Tek Pass and you can move very easily using the green buses. Note that you can get off and get in the bus whenever you like. However, during high season, it seems to be much more difficult and you would probably have to wait for some time.

Sin embargo, el camino es muy largo y tras varios días puede ser agotador. Por ejemplo, para llegar al Wonder Lake desde el Teklanika campground se requieren 5 horas y 3 horas para llegar a Eielson Visitor Center, paradas incluidas para descanso del conductor y avistamiento de fauna. No recomendamos más de 3 o 4 días, ya que puede hacerse repetitivo. Conseguir buenas fotos de fauna depende, en gran medida de la fortuna.

Importantly, the journeys are long and they could be tiring. For instance, the trip to Wonder lake from Teklanika campground lasts 5 hours, or 3 hours to achieve Eielson Visitor Center. This includes stops to see wildlife. We do not recommend more than 3 or 4 days since it could become repetitive. To take nice pictures of wildlife, is a question of luck. More times means more chances.

Cuantas más veces repitas, más posibilidades. Otro factor condicionante, es el tiempo que es muy cambiante; nosotros nos quedamos bloqueados por la nieve en el autobús y, esa misma tarde casi parecía verano…

Do not forget that the weather is also a determinant factor that could change in minutes; for instance, we were blocked by the snow during the morning and, few hours later, the temperature raised and the sun shined.
